Brian Waite has developed a model strawbale building that comes in at a fraction of the cost of conventional building. He has stated that a building kit will start at £30K
for a 11m x 7.2m
building.
He states that this size would be ideal as a house, or as a community centre etc.
Straw makes a great building. It is warm, safe, elegant, breathable, healthy and also acts as a great carbon store. What is there not to like?
