Peter Draper (BA, PG Dip)

Founder, Co-ordinator

Peter is the key employee with RDE and was also the founder back in 2002. He is qualified as a Building Surveyor (Grad Dip 2019 Dist. from UWE) and also a Retrofit Co-ordinator (Level 5 2020 – Retrofit Academy) and Domestic Energy Assessor (Level 3 – Stroma). 

Peter has been undertaking individual and community building surveys since 2002, focusing on the whole building approach that captures all sustainability issues. The community surveys have been focused on working through the Renew Wales and DTA Wales networks and RDE has assisted over 100 community organisations across Wales with understanding and upgrading their premises.

Peter served as Sustainability Chair and Director for the STBA and now works part-time for them as Project Associate. Here he has been responsible for a number of BEIS funded projects and has helped author the Level 3 Energy Efficiency in Traditional Buildings for CITB (a key qualification in the new PAS2035). He has also created a UK leading survey tool for assessing buildings using the Whole House Approach.

Peter serves on two British Standards Institute Steering Groups. These are focused on setting professional standards for retrofitting domestic properties in the UK.

Sue Waring (BTec, MSc)

Chair

Sue is a BREEAM and SAP Assessor and also undertakes Renewable Energy Feasibility Studies, Travel Plans and Energy Audits.

Sue has undertaken a wide range of BREEAM projects including a large number of new schools in England.

Sue has been actively involved with RDE for many years and has been Chair for over 5 years.

Wyn Prichard (BA)

Wyn is currently Director of Construction Skills and Business Strategy at NPTC Group, Chairperson of the Wales Renewable Energy Skills Group and Youth Ambassador for the Construction Youth Trust.

Wyn was also Director of CITB in Wales and for many years, so he has a wealth of experience in construction in Wales, as well as many years within training and skills organisations in Wales

Dave Morris BA

 

Dave is an Interior Architect by training but is also a graphic artist, illustrator and designer.

Working with set design with the Wales Millennium Centre Dave has a lot of experience in practical and technical work as well as the more artistic side of design.

He has more recently set up a new business as an ‘odd job’ professional using pedal power to get to work around Cardiff.

Paul Burdon BA

 

Paul has degrees in Psychology (Cardiff) and traditional Acupuncture (Kingston)

He has worked, since 2002 with many corporate, SME and third sector organisations, helping them to use online communication and systems to achieve greater organisational success he also works to help companies develop better business systems. Since 2012 he had split his time, also running a successful Traditional Acupuncture practise in West Wales.
